This guy is NOT the sharpest tool in the shed.... AT ALL

Ben Welbourn (right) saved John Richardson (left) and his wife from their burning home.... But it later emerged he started the fire himself

I bet he thought his plan was foolproof LOL.... Instead of quitting while he was still ahead, Ben Welbourn, 19, just couldn't help himself.

The Telegraph reported that Welbourn, who was twice hailed as a lifesaver after he rescued people from their burning homes, was exposed as a serial arsonist who started the fires in the first place.

In July, he was praised for rescuing Gina and John Richardson from their bungalow in Bilborough, Notts, and even braved the flames to run back inside and bring out the couple's 15-year-old dog. Two weeks later, the teenager displayed his pyromania "heroics" again when he woke 89 year old Fay Florio to tell her her home was on fire and led her from the blaze.

After the first fire, Welbourn was showered with adoration, but when his face again appeared in the local newspapers for a second arson, a suspicious neighbour suspected him for his previous "heroics" and contacted the fire service.

An investigation was launched, and Welbourn was arrested and charged. He pleaded guilty to two counts of arson and was sentenced to four years in jail.

5-year-old Romanian boy is Guiness Book of World Records' strongest child

*Blank stare*....

Now this is just amazing.... at 5 years old, how many of us can boast that we had a six-pack? Giuliano Stroe was recently inducted into the Guinness World Records, and if you watch the video below, there can be no question about his world record. The boy is a freak of nature, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. According to NYDailyNews.com, Giuliano has been training since he was 2 in the town in Italy where his family lives.

One word: Gifted

His father, Julian Stroe, told the Daily Mail newspaper "He has been going to the gym with me ever since he was born. I always took him with me when I went training." (Forgive me, but that doesn't sound right at all.)

Even though Giuliano is CLEARLY much stronger and more muscular than average, Stroe insists that his son's workout schedule isn't excessive....

"He is never allowed to practice on his own. He is only a child, and if he gets tired, we go and play," he said. (Yeah, play with the benchpress machine.)

Let's just give him the benefit of the doubt and hope that he isn't Joe Jackson-ing his son in order to make money.

*Blank stare*

Why does this seem like it's supposed to be a parody (when we all know its not)? I thought a trailer was supposed to pique one's interest, and leave them wanting more. The comments on the video aren't even complimentary, so I know I'm not the only one who is questioning the film. The makers of this film did me a favor so hats off to them! I won't be paying to watch this nonsense.

I think they did themselves more bad than good by letting me see this "exclusive scene".... Movie of the year? NEGATIVE!

Miami Herald: Cuba faces toilet paper shortage

Precious commodity?

Who would've imagined this? With the global economy being the way it is, I thought that other things would become scarce, but Cuba has redefined bizarre, by being the first country to suffer from a toilet paper drought in recent years. (Honestly, I have a hunch that they're probably the first country to ever suffer such a plight.) This makes me wonder what is wrong with the food in Cuba. After all, why else would there be such a bizarre shortage in the country?

There's good news and bad news in Cuba.

The bad news: There's a shortage of toilet paper, and officials in Havana say it will not ease until the end of the year.

The good news: Day-old copies of the Communist party's newspaper Granma, a traditional substitute, are available for less than a U.S. penny. And that's six to eight full, if rough, pages per day.

Just for laughs Part 3

This is hilarious (to me anyways), but it wouldn't be remotely amusing if experienced in real life. I'm warning you, it's sexually suggestive, but it is not in any way explicit. It is a legitimate commercial.

So I was doing my regular internet surfing, when I stumbled upon a topic which I thought was totally crazy, because the poster was questioning whether Google is racist. Sounds crazy right? I thought the same thing, but the screenshot photo he posted (see below) was funny.

Beginning of the end?.... Mexico decriminalizes small-scale drug possession

The Associated Press - Mexico decriminalized small amounts of marijuana, cocaine and heroin on Friday — a move that prosecutors say makes sense even in the midst of the government's grueling battle against drug traffickers.

Despite the fact that there can only be grave repercussions, the Mexican government reportedly said that it makes sense!

I swear that some people have a lack of foresight. There is clearly a lack of logic in the development, and the Mexican officials have failed to foresee that the legalized "small amounts" will gradually and unofficially increase in size, and soon people will be trafficking this contraband across the border, and into the United States of America, starting with Texas. Thanks Mexico.... you have single-handedly conceded the World's defeat to drug cartels and pushers.

Oh what do we have here? It seems like Mexico is getting support from their American neighbors (or at least A neighbor). Former federal anti-drug agent Terry Nelson spoke about how legalizing and regulating all drugs can be used as a tactic to bankrupt violent drug cartels. Either this is wishful thinking, or he genuinely thinks that we're going to get suckered into believing that garbage. To put this into perspective, the Mexican government, and people like Nelson are essentially saying that if you can't beat them, join them. Way to go! Needless to say, I am being sarcastic, and I truly think that this is the dumbest piece of news I have heard in a while. Seth McFarlane (Family Guy) and the SNL writers must be teemed with ideas for spoofs of not just the situation, but videos like the one with the former current anti-turned-pro-drug agent Terry Nelson.

Pure randomness....

Above: Mason Storm's lastest work, Supper at Emmaus, goes on exhibition at Gallery90. The painting, an adaptation of a classic 1601 Caravaggio masterpiece, shows Jesus and disciples feasting on McDonalds and Coca-Cola. (Taken from Telegraph Pics of the day)

I can't imagine what this guy was thinking when he did this. I'm still trying to decide whether or not this painting is blasphemous. If I had his artistic ability I'm not sure if I would use it to make a parody like this.

In all my years....

The sister on the far right is the only one here who seems to share my sentiments.... Her face is priceless.... She doesn't even seem interested

Meet Suman Khatun. I have no remorse for saying that this girl AND her parents need to be punished.

"Aww, but she is only 5 years old Ty, why would you punish her?" I will punish her because she knows what she is doing,
and she rebels (at FIVE-YEARS-OLD) in order to get food.

In just one week, she devours over 10 kilograms of rice, 24 eggs, six litres of milk and five kilos of potatoes.

There are times when you must bite the bullet and just do what is right - put "little" Suman on a treadmill and make her walk. Giving into the pressure which a FIVE-YEAR-OLD exerts, is damning and indicative of the parents' lack of competence.

Look at her go.... Her family (barring her sister) is shameless for letting this hit the media

The Telegraph reported that the girl's mother, Belly Bibi, said "When she is not fed she cries, shouts, screams and has even thrown rocks at us."

Oh dear.... I can't even comment on this one.... Oh wait, I can.... Who gets acne at FIVE-YEARS-OLD?

With all that is currently happening in the world.... why is THIS an issue?

Seems like a perfectly normal photo of the Obama family disembarking a plane to go on VACATION during the summer, right?.... Some people beg to differ.

I'm sorry but the people who sit down and work themselves up over topics like this, clearly have too much time on their hands, and live very boring lives. I watched the video below AFTER looking at the photo of Michelle Obama disembarking Air Force 1, and I could not believe that the focus of the video was on the First Lady's shorts.... Cynics, get a life.

Why is it that people are so conveniently conservative? I am sure that there is much more to be scoffed at in a land where pornography legally exists. In the Obama family, as far as their daily attire is concerned, I see a perfectly acceptable group of people who are representing the average person. With the temperatures as high as they are, why would anyone disapprove of her choice to wear shorts?!

It baffles me.

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet Mark McLeod.... Miley Cyrus' stalker

Above: Mark McLeod.... I'm still on the fence, unsure whether to laugh at this guy or be sickened by his bizzare obsession.

I'm not alone in saying that 53-year-old Mark McLeod is WRONG on every level for stalking Miley Cyrus, the 16-year-old Hannah Montana actress.

The BBC reported that McLeod, who claims to be secretly engaged to Cyrus, "was arrested after trying to contact the Hannah Montana actress on a film set near Savannah, Georgia."

According to the Telegraph, Tybee Island police chief Jim Price said "He (McLeod) was asking for Miley and going up and knocking on some doors" of beach homes near the set."

Price said "The security guards recognized him. In fact, he went up to the security guards and asked them 'Is Miley around?"'

The psycho apparently claimed he and Cyrus met 18 months earlier and that she had accepted his marriage proposal. He is said to have told police that Cyrus' father approved of their relationship and that Cyrus had sent him "secret messages" through her TV show. *crickets*

This is what we call a blonde moment....

Small town girl turned BB Star: Jordan Lloyd

Meet Jordan Lloyd. She is a reality TV star due to her appearances on the show Big Brother, where her candid personality endears her to viewers of the show.

Below is an outtake of the show (it wasn't aired on TV.... Thank God) but it aired online via the 24-hour live feed which shows what goes on in the house. That explains how this piece of footage was acquired.

I can only surmise that Jordan is "cute" because of her obvious good looks, as well as her down-to-earthness and honesty about not being the most intelligent. I must say however, that I kinda feel for her. I was made to understand that she is extremely nice, but even with that in mind, it is my opinion that being this daft can only "cute" for so long.

I'M BACK

Above: A cross-section of one of 22 "bands" which participated at the Kadooment festival on Monday.... some bands consisted of hundreds of revellers.

Sorry for the hiatus. Here in Barbados, the local festival season recently concluded, but not before I was able to relax and take in some of the sights and sounds of some of the summer festivities. If you have never visited Barbados around this time of year, consider doing it next year!

This was taken from a cramped vantage point on one of the many streets which the parade passed through.... the parade goes through cramped streets like this one, and then proceeds onto the highway, where the event culminates as a street party.

I posted a few pics of the Crop Over street carnival known as Kadooment, which is pretty much an event which involves revelers parading in colorful costumes, on or behind music trucks adorned with vibrant livery. It's a load of fun to either witness or be a part of, and I encourage you to visit next summer.

Go here for additional coverage of the festival, and other Caribbean entertainment & news tidbits.

Once again, I am sorry for my brief absence. I hope to resume posting daily once again!

Sister acts as surrogate mother for homosexual brother and his partner's first child

Above: Steven Ponder, Ivan Sigston and Lorna Bradley.... the three now share a special relationship in the form of a baby

I know I am wrong for this one, but it needs to be said. I am glad that they were cautious and smart enough NOT to use the brother as a sperm donor. Some dumb things have been happening in the world recently so I'm happy this broke the trend.

It was reported in the Telegraph today, that "Lorna Bradley acted as a surrogate mother to help her homosexual brother and his partner, who are both policemen, become fathers."

The Sun reported that the 31-year-old mother-of-three volunteered to have their baby when her brother Steven Ponder, 28, a special constable, revealed a desire to start a family with Ivan Sigston, 48, a police constable.

According to reports, it seems like she carried sisterly love to another level, by carrying out the deed free of charge.

Sigston, the sperm donor, did not sign as the child's father despite it being his biologically, meaning
that both him and Ponder will be required to adopt the child whose name is William Campbell Ponder-Sigston.

Can I get an Amen?!

When I return to Houston, I HAVE to see this man live LOL.

If you are ever in the Houston area, and you want a church to go to, make sure you go here:

Redeemed Christian Church of God-Pavilion of Redemption
7707 Bissonnet St.,

Looks like great fun.

Sex improves quality of sleep, study says

First of all, let me ask this: What is with all these research studies? And is it me, or does England seem to be the source for some of the most redundant studies?

I will give the conductors of this study the benefit of the doubt, that they truly believed that people who have had sex needed to hear this.

I guess it can be assumed that they thought this was going to help people who are addicted to sleeping medication, by showing them a less expensive and unhealthy way (we hope) of curing insomnia.

Let us hope that with our current economic climate the way it is, no significant amount of money (anything more than $1) was spent on this research.

CW 31 journalists' interview with author Karrine Steffans goes awry

I'm posting this because I was on the fence as to which side to choose, only a minute ago. I needed to figure out how I would act in either position, and as I wrote, I realized my answer. As a journalist, would I lose my cool and dismiss my interviewee if he/she gave me the kind of attitude and hostility that Karrine 'Superhead' Steffans displayed?

What about as an interviewee? Would I get offended if I start sensing that the interviewer has an agenda and only seems to be interested in my personal past? I am assuming that is how Steffans felt, and after watching the video twice I will admit that there is a justifiable reason why she would have felt and acted that way, but truth be told, the male interviewer had a point.

As a result of the way the farcical book promotion interview transpired, I'm leaning towards the journalists' side, because they decided to end the interview before it got messy, rather than do what another famous Fox journalist would have done - attack her into submission by exposing all of her personal business to viewers.

Her book, The Vixen Manual, is highly inappropriate for any young adult, which is the age group she kept hinting at, despite her best efforts to belatedly say that it was for older women who were married, etc.

In stores now, and available on Amazon

What made me lose compassion for Steffans, was the snide remark she directed towards the interviewers, telling them that they weren't "asking intelligent questions", in response to a perfectly simple series of questions in the latter part of the interview.

The minute I saw some of the erotic and extremely lewd illustrations from the book earlier this month, I assumed it was her spin on Kama Sutra, but in this interview, she made it seem far more sophisticated, commenting on how the book will provide the kind of advice she never had when she was a child and a young adult.

It is important to note that the former music-video model also stated that the book will offer tips and advice to women who are seeking, or are already in a relationship or marriage, as well as give tips to women in need of advice on bettering their work environment (yeah... right). Watch the interview below.

UPDATE: This is Steffans once again, with another failed attempt to promote her book. Why is she trying to be
sophisticated now? Who is she trying to fool? LOL This is hilarious to listen to. I should put this in the Just for
laughs section. She needs to stop being rude to interviewers when they use the facts from her own book to profile
her. Priceless.

Just for laughs Part 2

I will keep hoping that this was staged. That way, I won't feel bad for laughing so hard.

This one is less random, but I still think it is quite funny..... together, these two videos made my night.... I hope they do the same for you.

I think that man needs new friends.

Real-life Spiderman in India aiming to climb higher heights.... literally

Above: India's real-life Spiderman, Jyothi Karnataka

Without the use of harnesses or anything which can remotely save his life should he fall, 22-year-old Jyothi Karnataka from India has climbed some of India's highest points and building sites with no fear, and no equipment.

If he keeps that up, he can forget about trying to get life insurance. Though it is impressive to witness his skills, there is something ominous about what he is doing, and his cockiness supreme confidence is not in the least bit comforting.

His tricks and stunts, such as the one above, make him more daring than most other climbers in the world

Considering himself to be superior to other climbers, Jyothi said "My ability to see the foothold that others can't is proof to me that I was born to climb," adding that his strength and hand speed are the tools which set him apart from other climbers.

Referring to when he climbs with friends: "They of course use safety harnesses, they do not have my ability to move fast or grasp the rock face"

Expressing the satisfaction which he gets from entertaining on-lookers with his gravity-defying acts, Karnataka says "I love to see their faces when I position myself upside down".

The self-taught climber stated that he honed his technique by watching monkeys climb trees (no that is not a joke on my part), and analyzing stunts from his favorite movies. I can only hope that he understands the difference between reality and movies with special effects.

This guy personifies throwing caution to the wind..... not a harness or safety net in sight

Not content with the stunts he has accomplished, Jyothi stated that he intends to show the world that he can climb buildings and mountains - and emulate French free-climber Alain Robert.

View more photos of Jyothi's stunts here.
