National Geographic Channel is going to be airing their documentary for Locked Up Abroad next Wednesday at 10 p.m. (AST). The documentary will be re-enacting British tourist Zara Whittaker's holiday on the island, where she attempted (and failed) to smuggle drugs out of the country and was imprisoned.
I am itching to see it, and I am hoping that the country is represented accurately. Having been born and raised there, I can tell you for sure that the first trailer below is not a misrepresentation of Barbados' scenery.
I must admit however, that due to the fact that I am (and have always been) a law-abiding citizen, I cannot say whether or not the reenactment of her prison experience in the second trailer is precise (so I will give it the benefit of the doubt). Watch the trailers below, and make sure you tune in next week.
Zara is treading in dangerous waters. Will she have the guts to go through with the drug deal?
Zara didn't know she'd be carrying her second child behind bars.
